Why 2023 is the perfect year for Collaborative Logistics

In 2022, we achieved many goals with our customers. This year, we want to drive collaboration in logistics even further.

New year, same vision. This year, we will continue working to make supply chains more collaborative and seamless. Every day, we learn something new about the industry, but we also realize that there is still a lot of work ahead of us.

We have already achieved a great deal: thousands of companies already trust and use TradeLink every month for their delivery coordination, valuing this new collaborative form of communication. It is only thanks to the extensive feedback and support of our customers that the continuous development of TradeLink is possible. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who puts their trust in us and is committed to the logistics of tomorrow.

With 2023 upon us, we face further challenges as we strive to advance collaboration in logistics. But before we dive into our work with full force, we want to look back at the special moments of the past year.

4x growth in usage and new success stories

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing our customers solve operational warehouse problems through more efficient delivery coordination. Our entire team takes great pride in our customers' success. It is even better to make these successes visible to others. One example: the video success story featuring SportScheck and FIEGE.

On our website, you will find success stories from our customers Denner, Traveco, and Debatin. Perhaps your company will be the next one to make history on our website!

More than 60 new product developments on the platform

In 2022, our focus was on the further development of our platform. With more than 60 new features, we are now able to map unmet and new warehouse logistics processes into a simple digital workflow. Three significant developments stand out in particular: with the Check-In Terminal, it is now possible for the first time to digitize the administratively complex truck identification and ramp assignment process. Furthermore, notification and delivery information can now be automatically transmitted to the company's own ERP system via an API interface. And you can now quantify your operational warehouse metrics with our first warehouse and performance analytics.

Collaboration in logistics as a key success factor

Looking back, we are pleased to see that companies are determined to move closer together and join forces. Collaboration in delivery coordination is therefore becoming increasingly important. To further drive cooperation in logistics, we are now a permanent member of the Open Logistics Foundation.

Our collaborative approach was well-received in 2022 at leading industry events such as LOGIMAT, the German Logistics Congress, and the Logistics Summit. We also enjoyed the opportunity for exchange in smaller settings, including the Club of Logistics in Hamburg, the Freie Brauer meeting in Neumarkt, and numerous digital events. The Deutsche Verkehrs-Zeitung (DVZ) also invited us for an insightful interview. We are looking forward to the 2023 event season!

Successful funding round signals expansion

In mid-2022, we reached a significant milestone as a young company. Insight Partners, a renowned software investor from New York, came on board, investing an additional €12 million in the expansion of TradeLink alongside our existing investors, Point Nine and Fly Ventures, as well as other industry leaders such as Alexander Doll (former CFO of Deutsche Bahn), David Nothacker (CEO of Sennder), and Stephan Kniewasser (former Managing Director of Transporeon and TeamViewer).

This successful funding round demonstrates that, especially in turbulent times, supply chain collaboration requires a pragmatic and efficient solution. We will remain true to our mission and continue to develop the simplest and most effective platform for your warehouse coordination processes. We will actively invest this new capital into product development and expand our team to further improve your coordination processes and prepare logistics for the future.

A look behind the scenes – Company events and corporate culture

We also look back on an intense and successful year internally. The TradeLink team has grown and now consists of 65 people working on our shared vision from 3 continents, 9 countries, and more than 30 cities.

The TradeLink team in Leipzig, November 2023

To strengthen our team and collaboration, we relied on our proven company onsites in 2022. In May, the team met in our dream destination, Tuscany. In December, we gathered near Leipzig to align for 2023, and as a highly motivated team, we are looking forward to the new year.

2023 – The perfect year for collaborative logistics

The past three years have been very challenging for logistics. Supply chains were turned upside down, and delivery coordination was defined primarily by delays and disruptions.

Yet all of this has strengthened the industry: it is bringing everyone closer together. Steffen Reiners (Logistics Management at SportScheck) is certain that "it is important to network even more closely with your logistics partners in order to react faster and more flexibly."

2022 was a successful year for our customers and for us, but at TradeLink, we want to take it to the next level in 2023. To that end, we will soon be making new product developments available on the platform, such as the mapping of consolidated cargo and improved collaboration with all delivery partners. We look forward to continuing our existing partnerships and welcoming everyone who wants to join us.

Once again, we want to offer the logistics industry and you the stage you deserve. Because, in the end, you are the ones who keep our daily lives running year after year.

Here is to a great partnership and a successful start to a fantastic 2023,

Frederic
